God knew when He brought us together over 16 years ago, that our life would be unconventional. What an amazing journey we have had! The Faith Freighters’ Vision has been our focus since day one and God has captured our hearts and imagination with its potential to change lives, including our own, and see a positive impact on the industry. We would love to see truckers and their families realize the measure of their worth and value through their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Mina is a retired nurse and Tony an ordained pastor and retired truck driver. He has driven everything from delivery trucks to road trains in Australia and interstate rigs in the U.S. Most of his working life has been on the road in some form. As a former Highway Patrol and State Police Officer his knowledge of most things “highway” is extensive as is our love for those who travel them.

Rob responded to God years ago, closed their building fund and created United World Missions.   

To date this small church has started works in 23 countries and every mission is still operating.

He and the team there read about our vision and were immediately on board. Rob told us, “I heard the Spirit of God say, ‘GET IT DONE!’…” They have been a constant source of encouragement to us in every way possible. Through their fellowship, and financial and prayer support, we have felt the strength and courage to move forward. God is on the move, and they are with us on this journey, from the beginning!

Ron, (now retired), was the Pastor at the church in Nashville where Tony and Dwain met. The church was being built back in 2000, and they all got to know one another during that time of labor and fellowship. He married Tony and Mina in November, 2003, during a Wednesday night service. Throughout the ceremony Ron spoke about our meeting and said, “…this is what happens when two worlds collide!” He and Diane are an important part of our team, and have been since those early days almost 20 years ago. They have been dear friends and encouragers of this vision long before Tony even knew most of what would be involved. We are so grateful to have them!

Sometimes God surprises us with “instant friends”. That is what happened when we met Billy and Bronwyn almost nine years ago! Meeting through a mutual friend, and because of our collective love of all-things-trucking, we met in Adelaide, SA for a round table discussion on ministry to long distance truck drivers. The rest is history! We love their heart for this industry and because Bill is himself an owner-driver, he understands all too well the needs of the everyday trucker. When we asked Bill to come onboard as a Director, he and Bron prayed and came back with this response, "We are all-in, way-in! Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially..." We thank God for their friendship, love and support and are grateful for their place on our team.  

BJ and her husband Warren have been dear friends for years. They have such a heart for The Kingdom and seeing heaven come to earth! BJ has been such a blessing with her talent for design. She has worked tirelessly on our logo, website and all things graphics. We thank God for her faithfulness and for her God-sized heart!  God always knows what we need and brings exactly the right people at the right time. BJ and Warren are two of those people. We treasure their friendship and support and look forward to our future with them!
